The reason why I wanted to join out link is because growing up with a Latino family, and friends I could really feel the important and comfort with having a community to go to. That being said being queer and Latino was also hard to navigate. I also went to university and studied to become an occupational therapist, and in this profession it’s about how to improve someone’s day-to-day life through their meaningful personal and social connections and activities. Taken together I wanted to volunteer with out link because I wanted to be a person in different areas of my life who could provide some meaningful social queer connections and provide support and be that person who I would have wanted to talk to as a young queer Latino person. My current role is a Group Facilitator for Grabba Java (South location).

Values include Fun/Joy- knowing when not to take things too seriously, curiosity and gratitude.
Comfort hobby is playing video games and my comfort movie is Coraline.
My mom has helped shape a lot of my view towards just including others and recognizing everyone’s strength and meaningfulness to the community community as well as their faults that can we can accept. Nobody is perfect but we can find ways to exist and work together.
