DESCRIPTION:Wanting to have a safe\, fun\, flirty\, scorchin’ sapphic summer? Welcome to our Scorchin’ Sapphic Summer at Lavender Teatime! To start the summer off\, our Lavender Teatime group is collaborating with Safeworks Outreach through Alberta Health Services to offer free STI testing! Additionally\, we will have a chill hangout space with snacks\, colouring\, and peer support available with our wonderful group facilitator/resident gay big sister Kiley!\n\nSpots are limited and registration is highly recommended if you would like to get tested. We will have very limited spots for drop-ins to get tested\, and may not be able to accommodate all drop-ins depending on how many there are. \n\nPlease register here. \n\nIf you do not wish to get tested\, you can still attend our hangout space!\n\nSTI Testing Info:\nTesting will be conducted by a Safeworks Nurse and take place in a private space with chairs and a couch. This will include bloodwork and potentially a swab and urine test depending on what kind of tests you need and wish to get done. All-gender washrooms are available.\nPlease bring Photo ID and/or your Alberta Healthcare Card if you have them. If you do not have them\, you can still get tested! Your name and sex marker do not need to match the name you use with us or how you identify. \nThis event is part of our newly implemented Lavender Teatime structure where we host a monthly special event in addition to our two other regular monthly meetings! Lavender Teatime is a community group for those whose identities are informed and understood in relation to experiences of queer womanhood\, including trans\, non binary\, and cis folks as they feel comfortable in this space. SUMMARY:Inside Out (Youth 13-18\, in-person) - Chill Hangout Space!
DESCRIPTION:Our Inside Out youth group is for 2SLGBTQ+ youth ages 13-18 along with their friends\, families\, and supporters. We aim to create fun\, affirming\, and friendly spaces for queer and trans youth! This is a drop-in group\, so no registration is required. \nThe group meets on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at from 6-8pm! Meetings on 4th Tuesdays are a chill hangout space with various activities.  \nThis meetup is intended as a fun and welcoming space for friendly connection and to meet fellow 2SLGBTQ+ and allied youth! If you are looking for further support\, Outlink staff are available to meet with you one-on-one or in small groups by phone\, text based messaging\, or video call upon request. They can also help connect you to other counselling and support services. \nThe group is run by volunteer group facilitators who have received 30+ hours of peer support training. \nWe ask all participants to follow our Safer Spaces Ground Rules when attending group or accessing any of our services. If you aren’t following them\, we might talk to you about it and/or ask you to leave depending on what’s happening. \nIf you’d like to take any pictures of the room or the group\, please ask facilitators and participants first.

PrEP and DoxyPEP are two different medications that may help protect against STIs. \n\nPrEP helps prevent HIV when taken as prescribed by a clinician.\nDoxyPEP may help prevent bacterial STIs when taken within 72 hours after having sex without a condom.\n\nAppointments are available on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 7:30 at the Centre. Between Men is a safe\, inclusive space where we can talk openly and honestly about our lived experiences and share our stories to feel heard\, respected\, loved\, and supported. \nTogether\, we can work towards better understanding ourselves and how our intersectionality impacts us\, including our sexual orientations\, sexualities\, gender identities\, and gender expressions. By realizing our individual strengths\, we can overcome and liberate ourselves from negative belief systems that keep us from living authentically. \nBetween Men also offers opportunities to socialize\, meet new people\, make good connections\, and have fun amongst supportive and safe company. \nThis meetup is intended as a space for peer support\, casual socialization\, and connection.
