The movie can be viewed for free on Tubi.  \nSynopsis: A shy teen juggles the pressures of high school and her conservative Chinese-Australian family after falling for her best friend\, Stella. \n_______________________ \nLavender Teatime is a community group hosted through Calgary Outlink that serves as a supportive social space for those whose identities are informed and understood in relation to experiences of queer womanhood\, including trans\, non binary\, and cis folks as they feel comfortable in this space. Regular meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month\, as well as Monthly Special Event Meetings held once a month. \nWe understand and recognize that there can be a lot of nuance to how each of us identifies and that we do not all use the same language even when we might share similar experiences. We recognize also that our unique identities can shape the ways we experience and are experienced by the world and that our experiences might not align even when we share identities. We celebrate these differences and strive to create space where all our beautiful diversity can shine! There are endless ways to identify and even more ways of being in community. If you feel that you align with this group\, you are welcome here! This meetup is intended as a space for casual connection. This is not a structured therapy group nor is it a dating space. SUMMARY:Inside Out (Youth 13-18\, in-person) - Choose Your Own Craft!
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to a new year of our Inside Out youth programming at Calgary Outlink! Our group will now be meeting on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at from 6-8pm! \nOur youth programming is for 2SLGBTQ+ youth ages 13-18 along with their friends\, families\, and supporters. We aim to create fun\, affirming\, and friendly spaces for queer and trans youth! This is a drop-in group\, so no registration is required. \nThe meetings on 2nd Tuesdays are an Arts & Crafts Club\, where we’ll be doing different crafts together each month! \nChoose a craft out of our supplies\, or bring your own! We’ll have supplies to draw\, paint\, colour\, bead\, and more!  \nThis meetup is intended as a fun and welcoming space for friendly connection and to meet fellow 2SLGBTQ+ and allied youth! If you are looking for further support\, Outlink staff are available to meet with you one-on-one or in small groups by phone\, text based messaging\, or video call upon request. They can also help connect you to other counselling and support services. \nThe group is run by volunteer group facilitators who have received 30+ hours of peer support training. \nWe ask all participants to follow our Safer Spaces Ground Rules when attending group or accessing any of our services. If you aren’t following them\, we might talk to you about it and/or ask you to leave depending on what’s happening. \nIf you’d like to take any pictures of the room or the group\, please ask facilitators and participants first. \n_____________________ \nGetting There: \nPaid and free street parking is available in the area. The nearest LRT Stations are Downtown-West Kerby (blue line) and 8th Street (red line). Nearby bus routes include the #65 and #66.  Other buses are nearby in the area as well. \nBuilding Accessibility: \nThere is a ramp leading up to the main door. Please be aware that there is a lip at the bottom of the ramp\, so it’s not quite flush with the ground. There is an elevator in the building. Washrooms in The Rainbow Room are all-gender and wheelchair-accessible. \nPublic health and the safety of our communities is very important to us! The following safety practices are put in place for our in-person programming: \n\nWearing a mask is always welcome and encouraged.\nIf you have any cold\, flu\, measles\, or Covid symptoms (ex. fever\, cough\, sore throat\, runny nose\, rash\, etc)\, we ask that you please do not attend.\nThe room can fit about 12 people comfortably.

DESCRIPTION:Between Men is a social-support peer group for queer men\, including cis men\, trans men\, transmasculine people\, and anyone under the masculine identity umbrella who is gay\, bi\, pan\, toric\, queer\, questioning\, or are otherwise attracted to guys. Between Men is a safe\, inclusive space where we can talk openly and honestly about our lived experiences and share our stories to feel heard\, respected\, loved\, and supported. \nTogether\, we can work towards better understanding ourselves and how our intersectionality impacts us\, including our sexual orientations\, sexualities\, gender identities\, and gender expressions. By realizing our individual strengths\, we can overcome and liberate ourselves from negative belief systems that keep us from living authentically. \nBetween Men also offers opportunities to socialize\, meet new people\, make good connections\, and have fun amongst supportive and safe company. \nThis meetup is intended as a space for peer support\, casual socialization\, and connection. There are bus stops with multiple routes along Macleod Trail and near the mall\, including the #9 #10 bus routes. \nThe mall entrance is wheelchair accessible and has an automatic door. The entrance into the cafe is step-free. DESCRIPTION:Lavender Teatime is a monthly peer support group hosted through Calgary Outlink that serves as a supportive social space for those whose identities are informed and understood in relation to experiences of queer womanhood\, including trans\, non binary\, and cis folks as they feel comfortable in this space. Regular meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. We will have activities and games\, but feel free to bring your own too! \nIf it rains we will play games and do crafts inside. \nThis meetup is intended as a fun and welcoming space for friendly connection and to meet fellow 2SLGBTQ+ and allied youth! If you are looking for further support\, Outlink staff are available to meet with you one-on-one or in small groups by phone\, text based messaging\, or video call upon request. They can also help connect you to other counselling and support services. \nThe group is run by volunteer group facilitators who have received 30+ hours of peer support training. \nWe ask all participants to follow our Safer Spaces Ground Rules when attending group or accessing any of our services. If you aren’t following them\, we might talk to you about it and/or ask you to leave depending on what’s happening. \nIf you’d like to take any pictures of the room or the group\, please ask facilitators and participants first.
