The movie can be viewed for free on Tubi.  \nSynopsis: A shy teen juggles the pressures of high school and her conservative Chinese-Australian family after falling for her best friend\, Stella. \n_______________________ \nLavender Teatime is a community group hosted through Calgary Outlink that serves as a supportive social space for those whose identities are informed and understood in relation to experiences of queer womanhood\, including trans\, non binary\, and cis folks as they feel comfortable in this space. Regular meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month\, as well as Monthly Special Event Meetings held once a month. \nWe understand and recognize that there can be a lot of nuance to how each of us identifies and that we do not all use the same language even when we might share similar experiences. We recognize also that our unique identities can shape the ways we experience and are experienced by the world and that our experiences might not align even when we share identities. We celebrate these differences and strive to create space where all our beautiful diversity can shine! There are endless ways to identify and even more ways of being in community. If you feel that you align with this group\, you are welcome here! This meetup is intended as a space for casual connection. This is not a structured therapy group nor is it a dating space. DESCRIPTION:Our Inside Out youth group is for 2SLGBTQ+ youth ages 13-18 along with their friends\, families\, and supporters. We aim to create fun\, affirming\, and friendly spaces for queer and trans youth! This is a drop-in group\, so no registration is required. \nThe group meets on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at from 6-8pm! Meetings on 4th Tuesdays are a chill hangout space with various activities.  \nHave an interest\, hobby\, or something really cool you want to tell someone about? Our show and tell is the perfect place for that! This will be a lowkey place to share something about yourself or something you like. There’s also no pressure to share anything. Maybe you’ll meet some folks who like the same things as you! Regardless\, we’re excited to learn something about you :)\n\nThis meetup is intended as a fun and welcoming space for friendly connection and to meet fellow 2SLGBTQ+ and allied youth! If you are looking for further support\, Outlink staff are available to meet with you one-on-one or in small groups by phone\, text based messaging\, or video call upon request. They can also help connect you to other counselling and support services. \nThe group is run by volunteer group facilitators who have received 30+ hours of peer support training. \nWe ask all participants to follow our Safer Spaces Ground Rules when attending group or accessing any of our services. DESCRIPTION:“Thirsty Sword Lesbians” is a narrative-focused TTRPG (table-top role-playing game) about creating and telling melodramatic queer stories. The game features and celebrates queer love and storytelling through platonic flirtation and adventuring. If you love angsty disaster lesbians with swords\, you have come to the right place! \nNo prior experience with TTRPG’s is necessary to play. The game will be lead by Outlink practicum student Jesse! \nThis game will take place over two afternoons: \nSession #1: Character-Building\nSaturday\, March 14th from 1-3pm\nCommunityWise Resource Centre (#200 – 2710 17 Ave SE) \nSession #2: Gameplay \nSaturday\, April 25th from 1-4pm\nThe Rainbow Room (#400 – 750 11 St SW)\nThere are 4-6 spots available in this gameplay.  \nAs this is a smaller gameplay\, this event requires registration beforehand. DESCRIPTION:Community building event focused on protesting through care\, love\, and art: weaving together climate justice\, queer justice\, and queer joy!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us on April 17th for a free creative community workshop\, held in collaboration with the Centre for Newcomers and SewProudYYC!\n\n\n\nIn this workshop\, we invite you to creatively explore your experiences at the intersection of queer justice and climate justice. This workshop supports in educating\, empowering\, and connecting participants to take collective actions to address barriers and enhance equity. Through the creation of a collective group art-piece (i.e.\, community mosaic quilt) patched together with individuals’ unique experiences\, we hope to increase awareness and recognition of the disproportionate impacts of the climate crisis on 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and those experiencing intersecting injustices.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe evening will start with short presentations about the work of Center for Newcomers\, SewProudYYC\, and the Calgary Climate Hub. Then we will move into the art-making portion of the evening:\n\n\n\nCelebrating uniqueness: Each participant will start with a piece of fabric that they will then decorate by visiting various crafting stations. Through the incorporation of climate justice policy and mutual aid discussions at each station\, participants’ art-pieces will be a living document of the conversations from the evening\, as well as their unique experiences connected to climate justice and queer justice.\n\n\nUniting together as a community: We will then sew together everyone’s art-piece to create a community mosaic quilt!\n\n\n\nNo specific crafting experiences are needed – all are welcome. DESCRIPTION:Looking for a friendly check-in with your community? Grab a cup of tea and join us from wherever you are as we share in each other’s company! This is a safe space for anyone who identifies as an 2SLGBTQ+ community member or ally. We will accept attendees on a drop-in basis. \nThis is an in-person meeting at Element Cafe (331 17 Ave SW). \nWe will have a few drink vouchers available to cover the cost of one drink if needed!Our group meetings are intended as a space for casual connection. This is not a structured therapy group nor is it a dating space. If you are looking for further support\, Outlink staff are available to meet with you one-on-one or in small groups by phone\, text based messaging\, or video call upon request. They can also help connect you to other counselling services. \nPlease note that meetings are moderated by Outlink staff and volunteers who reserve the right to remove anyone from the group who is in violation of our Safer Space Ground Rules.

DESCRIPTION:STI Testing for Gay\, Bisexual and Other Men Who Have Sex With Men (GBMSM)\n\n\nRapid HIV & STI Testing\nLooking for PrEP or DoxyPEP? These are separate services offered through Freddie Express. Click here for more information. \nSafeworks Outreach Program in collaboration with Centre for Sexuality offers the following nursing services for gay\, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (gbMSM)\, including cis\, trans and other gender diverse folks. \nServices include: \n\nTesting for common sexually transmitted and blood borne infections (STBBIs)\, including chlamydia\, gonorrhea\, syphilis\, hepatitis A\, B\, & C\, and HIV\nRapid or “point of care” testing for HIV and syphilis\, providing results in about one minute\, so you can know your status before you leave your appointment!\nTreatment for common STBBIs including chlamydia\, gonorrhea and syphilis\nHepatitis A\, B and HPV vaccine program for eligible individuals\nFree condoms and lube\nInformation and referrals for other services such as HIV PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis)\n\nServices not included: \n\nPhysical assessments for skin conditions\nHerpes testing\nHPV/genital wart treatment\n\nFor more complex STI related care needs\, please visit the Calgary STI Clinic. \n\n\nSame-Day PrEP and DoxyPEP with Freddie Express\nWe are excited to be partnering with Freddie Express to provide appointments for prEP and DoxyPEP. PrEP and DoxyPEP are two different medications that may help protect against STIs. \n\nPrEP helps prevent HIV when taken as prescribed by a clinician.\nDoxyPEP may help prevent bacterial STIs when taken within 72 hours after having sex without a condom.\n\nAppointments are available on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 7:30 at the Centre.
