DESCRIPTION:STI Testing for Gay\, Bisexual and Other Men Who Have Sex With Men (GBMSM)\n\n\nRapid HIV & STI Testing\nLooking for PrEP or DoxyPEP? These are separate services offered through Freddie Express. Click here for more information. \nSafeworks Outreach Program in collaboration with Centre for Sexuality offers the following nursing services for gay\, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (gbMSM)\, including cis\, trans and other gender diverse folks. \nServices include: \n\nTesting for common sexually transmitted and blood borne infections (STBBIs)\, including chlamydia\, gonorrhea\, syphilis\, hepatitis A\, B\, & C\, and HIV\nRapid or “point of care” testing for HIV and syphilis\, providing results in about one minute\, so you can know your status before you leave your appointment!\nTreatment for common STBBIs including chlamydia\, gonorrhea and syphilis\nHepatitis A\, B and HPV vaccine program for eligible individuals\nFree condoms and lube\nInformation and referrals for other services such as HIV PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis)\n\nServices not included: \n\nPhysical assessments for skin conditions\nHerpes testing\nHPV/genital wart treatment\n\nFor more complex STI related care needs\, please visit the Calgary STI Clinic. \n\n\nSame-Day PrEP and DoxyPEP with Freddie Express\nWe are excited to be partnering with Freddie Express to provide appointments for prEP and DoxyPEP. PrEP and DoxyPEP are two different medications that may help protect against STIs. \n\nPrEP helps prevent HIV when taken as prescribed by a clinician.\nDoxyPEP may help prevent bacterial STIs when taken within 72 hours after having sex without a condom.\n\nAppointments are available on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 7:30 at the Centre. DESCRIPTION:Lavender Teatime is a community group hosted through Calgary Outlink that serves as a supportive social space for those whose identities are informed and understood in relation to experiences of queer womanhood\, including trans\, non binary\, and cis folks as they feel comfortable in this space. Regular meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month\, as well as Monthly Special Event Meetings held once a month. \nWe understand and recognize that there can be a lot of nuance to how each of us identifies and that we do not all use the same language even when we might share similar experiences. We recognize also that our unique identities can shape the ways we experience and are experienced by the world and that our experiences might not align even when we share identities. We celebrate these differences and strive to create space where all our beautiful diversity can shine! There are endless ways to identify and even more ways of being in community. If you feel that you align with this group\, you are welcome here! This meetup is intended as a space for casual connection. This is not a structured therapy group nor is it a dating space. If you are looking for further support\, Outlink staff are available to meet with you one-on-one or in small groups by phone\, text based messaging\, or video call upon request. They can also help connect you to other counselling and support services. \nPlease note that this meeting is moderated by Outlink staff/volunteers who reserve the right to remove anyone from the group who is in violation of our Safer Space Ground Rules.
